Bursa’s FTSE4Good index sees 26 new additions, six exclusions

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11): Bursa Malaysia Bhd (KL:BURSA) has added 26 new constituents to the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4GBM) Index and 24 new constituents to the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah (F4GBMS) Index following the latest semi-annual review conducted in December 2025.

The review also resulted in six exclusions from the F4GBM Index and ten exclusions from the F4GBMS Index.

All constituent changes will take effect at the start of trading on Dec 22, 2025, the exchange said in a statement on Thursday.

The F4GBM Index will now comprise 180 companies, while the F4GBMS Index — which includes only shariah-compliant constituents from the broader F4GBM — will increase to 139 companies.

Bursa added that the growing number of companies meeting FTSE4Good criteria reflects strengthening environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments across Malaysian public-listed companies, as assessed by FTSE Russell’s ESG Ratings methodology.

Updated ESG grading bands for all Main Market and ACE Market companies will be published on the Bursa Malaysia website after Dec 22, 2025.
