Passing of Dato’ Teo Chiang Quan – VSTECS Group Co-founder & Former Chairman

Dear Shareholders, Business Partners and Associates,
 
With deep sadness we received the news that our Group’s co-founder and former Chairman, Dato’ Teo Chiang Quan has passed away on 24 May 2021 after a short illness.
 
Dato’ Teo and I co-founded the Group in 1986 with a management buy-out of VSTECS KU Sdn Bhd. With his support and encouragement, our Group grew rapidly to become the leading ICT Distributor in Malaysia. When VSTECS Berhad was listed on Bursa Malaysia in 2010, Dato’ Teo was appointed the first Chairman of the board of directors until he retired in 2015. As the Chairman, Dato’ Teo provided the Group valuable advice and guidance on good corporate governance, strategies and directions in ensuring sustainable profitable growth to create shareholders’ value.
 
We shall always remember Dato’ Teo’s immense contributions to our Group and his strong principles of integrity, trust and respect. I shall cherish the memories of our partnership and friendship for over 35 years. May his soul rest in peace.
